Bassist Nathan Farrington has appeared as soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Columbus Symphony, the Aspen Music Festival Conducting Orchestra, and the Minnesota Sinfonia, and appears regularly in the bass sections of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony, Columbus Symphony, and the East Coast Chamber Orchestra. An avid chamber musician, Nathan has completed three summers at the Marlboro Music Festival. He has preformed on a number of occasions on NPR s A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor. In 2006 he graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music studying with the Philadelphia Orchestra’s principal bassist, Hal Robinson, as well as with soloist Edgar Meyer.
In addition to his bass playing, Nathan enjoys the use of his tenor voice and has appeared as soloist with the Marlboro Music Festival Orchestra, as well as with the Mansfield Symphony.
