VOLUNTEEER POSITIONS

Act as liaison between the volunteer team and staff on concert days. Check volunteers in and get them situated with name badges, jobs, and seating. Hand out assisted listening devices & assist ushers as needed. This position requires standing, walking, friendliness, and job flexibility.

Parking volunteers work together to direct our patrons to parking nearest the theater, and answering questions about parking, bathrooms, and theater. This position requires standing, walking, friendliness, directing patrons to parking, and being outside.

Hand out will call tickets. Seated & outdoor position. This position requires an ear for names.

Arrive at 1:00 PM

Program ushers are responsible for handing out programs in the lobby and greeting attendees. This position requires friendliness!

Front door greeters are responsible for checking tickets at the front doors and greeting attendees. This position requires friendliness, attention to detail (making sure they have tickets for the correct date).

Seating Ushers are stationed inside the theater doors to help patrons find their seats. This position requires standing, walking, and assisting with ADA access.  Ushers are assigned one of the side doors inside the Wheeler Theater to open during intermission & at the end of the concert.

Greet attendees with ADA needs outside the theater to help navigate sidewalk steps, open doors, and locate seating.  This position requires friendliness, mobility, opening doors, offering an arm, and being outside.

This very special volunteer role will only be able to hear the concert from the theater lobby as they greet any late arrivals and usher people in and out of the theater during the performances. Once a piece has begun, any ticket holders must wait until the very end of the piece before they can re-enter the theater. This job can be disbursed between multiple volunteers if swapping is coordinated ahead of time. This position requires someone that can communicate via-whispering. This person must not be afraid to enforce the rules even if the ticketholder is frustrated. This person should be able to recognize the end of a piece vs. the end of a movement.

Time Varies

Requires a 2 to 5 hour commitment, Volunteer to transport our musicians from the Bainbridge Ferry Terminal to Port Townsend on weekdays (depending on arrival), or back to the ferry on weekdays.
